This day 27th July 2017 was the day we went for X-ray of your chest which showed up a shadow in your right lung.
We laughed at the hospital because it took so long for you to come back to me and to leave in the knowledge that it was important to be seen soon. As the nurse urged us to call the GP that afternoon or next morning if no results were in that afternoon.
I remember your words when we came out of the X-ray Department - Nigel “Do they normally ask you to call the GP after an X-ray “ Kay “No darling, it means you have a shadow or something there”
How I wished it to be nothing.
We rang doctors that afternoon but no results.
The next morning 28th July was a night away. Love & miss you my Darling, Kay xx
